Dr. David Terry Fleck, age 51, of Murrysville, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 13, 2019 at his residence. He was born December 6, 1967 in Altoona, a son of Philip T. and Annetta E. (Yingling) Fleck.
Survived by his parents of Duncansville; a sister Kellie of Duncansville; a brother Jeffrey (Julie) of Hollidaysburg; two nieces: Katie (Jessie) Mangiacarne and Jennifer Boal; three nephews: Andrew Boal, Daniel Fleck and Joseph Fleck; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dave was a 1986 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree from IUP in 1990 and his Doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Ohio State University. Dr. Dave worked locally at Blair Animal Hospital and Lakemont Veterinary Clinic before joining White Oak Veterinary Clinic and becoming a part owner in the practice. He was dedicated to his career caring for animals and was very much loved by patients, coworkers, family and friends. Dave enjoyed sports, outdoor activities, and family visits. He was of the Catholic faith .
Friends and family will be received from 2-4pm on Sunday, May 19, 2019, immediately followed by a memorial service at 4pm, officiated by Monsignor Robert Saly, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
