Elvin G. Liebegott, age 97, a resident of Kelly Manor, York, formerly of Duncansville, died Friday morning, January 10, 2020, at Kelly Manor.. He was born December 18, 1922 in Duncansville, a son of the late M. Luther and Jeanette (Graham) Liebegott. He married Jean Clites on July 12, 1945. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2010.
Survived by a daughter Susan Liebegott (Tom Murray) of York; four grandchildren: Erik Liebegott (Shelby), Sesame Corbett, Eamonn Murray (Muoy), and Devin Murray (Kristen); 6 great-grandchildren: Abigail, Ava and Alivia Liebegott, Jasmine Taylor (Kieth), Ramell Baldwin, and Tucker Murray; two great-great-granddaughters: Zo and Nari Taylor; two step-great-great-grandsons: Keion and Kai Taylor; two sisters: Alice Eichelberger and Mary Smith; a sister-in-law Marlene Clites; and multiple generations of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son David on November 12, 2009 and two brothers: Alfred and Richard Liebegott.
Elvin was a 1940 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He retired from Conrail in 1986, then worked for the Hollidaysburg School District, as a printer.
He was a past member of First Presbyterian Church, Hollidaysburg.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
