Judith D. VanAtta, age 72, a resident of Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Duncansville, died Tuesday afternoon, August 13, 2019, at the home. She was born June 7, 1947 in Altoona, daughter of the late James Robert and Binnie Loretta (Imler) Imler. She married William F. “Bill” VanAtta, who preceded her in death on May 24, 2001.
Survived by three sons: Robert W. (Tammy) of Greencastle, William D. (Donna) of Hollidaysburg, and James R. (Laine) of East Berlin; 7 grandchildren: Christin, Adam, Allison, Joshua, Alex, Betsy and Allen; 4 great-grandchildren: Preston, Raylan, Reid and Rowan; three brothers: Robert D. Imler (Darlene) of FL, Ronald A. Imler (Gale) of Newry, and Donald L. Imler (Linda) of FL; and a sister-in-law Patty Jo VanAtta of Altoona.
Judith was a 1964 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She worked in secretarial with Home Nursing. She enjoyed knitting and making crafts, gardening, and loved her animals.
Friends will be received on Fri., Aug. 16, 2019 from 2-4pm, immediately followed by a funeral service at 4pm, officiated by Rev. Rich Morris, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1218 4th Ave., Duncansville. Interment will take place at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
