Alex F. Mobley, Jr., age 84, of Duncansville, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 29, 2024, following an extended illness. He was born at home May 16, 1939 in Duncansville, a son of the late Alex F. Mobley Sr. and Alice M. (Brubaker) Mobley. He married Cheryl A. Bougher on Feb. 1, 1964 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville.
Survived by his wife, Cheryl; three children: Tina Knab (Lloyd) and Tracey Coppersmith (Dale) of Duncansville, and Alex Mobley III (Michele) of Maple Hollow; 5 grandchildren: Ashley, Dereck, and Daren Coppersmith, Alexandra Bertrum, and Samantha Knab; 10 great-grandchildren: Bryan, Devon, Easton, Ella, Blake, Kacie, Maverick, Kian, Hunter, and Willow; and two sisters: Virginia White of Cresson and Louise Mobley of Hollidaysburg.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: John Mobley, Paul Mobley, Mary Ann Stalter, and Catherine Heresco.
Alex attended St. Patrick's School and Hollidaysburg High School. He was a US Army veteran. He retired from Small Tube Products, Duncansville, where he was a tool and die operator.
He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
