Arlene R. Cliber, age 95, a resident of Maybrook Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center, Altoona, formerly of Tyrone, died early Wednesday morning, April 22, 2020 at the home. She was born July 12, 1924 in Julian, PA, a daughter of the late Harold M. and Sarah Pero (Glyncinfer) Stanton. She married Eugene Cliber, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons: Barry and Larry Cliber; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 10 siblings: Marion Wells of D.C., Harold Stanton, Jr. of Philipsburg, PA, Ann Chiston of Port Matilda, PA, William Stanton of Connecticut, June Gearhart of Boalsburg, PA, Lois Hudlow of Damascus, MD, Betty Thompson of Port Matilda, PA, John Stanton of Port Matilda, PA, Joe Stanton of Roaring Spring, PA, and Carol Duda of Lewistown, PA; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cliber was preceded in death by a son David; an infant daughter Michelle; and a teenage brother Donald Stanton.
Arlene worked for many years as a cashier at A&P in State College. She was a member of Black Moshannon Apostolic Church in Black Moshannon, PA, and the Assembly of God in State College, PA.
She loved her husband and children to the fullest and her dog, Maggie, her German Shepard. Arlene was loved by many!
