Arthur W Miller

Arthur Wayne Miller, age 90, of Martinsburg, formerly of East Freedom, died Friday, January 3, 2025 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born September 19, 1934 in Johnstown, a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Cresswell) Miller. He married the former Darlene Jane Eckard on October 13, 1959 in Cumberland, MD.

Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Darlene Miller of Martinsburg; three sons: Bradley Miller of Altoona, Jamie Miller (Amy) of Duncansville, and Tom Miller (Missy) of Woodbury; 9 grandchildren: Elisha, Ashley, Kelsi, Tyler, Shaniah, Ryan, Joshua, Taylor, and Cody; and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his three siblings: Irene Wertz, and Charles and Neil Miller.

Art was a 1955 graduate of Roaring Spring High School. He retired from the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home in 1992, where he worked as a security officer.

He was a faithful member of Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church. Art loved singing hymns, reading his Bible, and teaching children about Jesus.

Friends will be received on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 10am until the noon funeral service at Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church. Pastor David Huston will officiate. Interment will take place at Leamersville Riverview Cemetery.
