Barbara J Wicker

Barbara J. Wicker, age 78, of Altoona, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 8, 2025 at her home. She was born April 17, 1947 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Herman L. and Ruth M. (Claar) Wicker.

Surviving are two grandsons: Adam Pfiester and Devin Carper, and four siblings: Shirley Ickes, Carol Lee, Ruth Yingling, and Herman Wicker Jr.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tiffany S. Carper, on August 30, 2015, and a brother, Jesse Wicker.

Barbara was a 1966 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from C-COR Electronics. She was United Methodist by faith.

At Barb’s request, there will be no public services.
