Bernadine Yarnell Obituary

Bernadine M. Yarnell, age 78, a resident of Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, died Saturday evening, February 10, 2018, at the home. She was born November 10, 1939 in Altoona and grew up in the Newburg section of Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Owen and Edith (Lumadue) Ball.

Survived by three sons: Larry (Cindy Keith) Yarnell, Todd (Rebecca) Yarnell and Waylon Yarnell; 5 grandchildren; and a brother, Bobby Ball.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Yarnell IV, and a son, George W. Yarnell V, and two brothers: Jim Ball and Ed Ball.

Mrs. Yarnell was a 1957 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She worked in the Cathedral Rectory for many years and also the Allegro Restaurant.

She enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 4-7pm on Wed., Feb. 14, 2018 at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 4th Ave., Duncansville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thurs., Feb. 15 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Coupon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gloria Gates Memorial Foundation (PO Box 89, Altoona, PA 16603) and/or Garvey Manor (1037 S. Logan Blvd., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648).
