Betty R (Imler) Corle

Betty R. Corle, age 98, a resident of Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona, formerly of Newry, died Sunday morning, January 17, 2021 at the home. She was born March 2, 1922 in Newry, a daughter of the late Park Z. and Esther (Glunt) Imler. She married Lawrence Ivan Corle on Oct. 10, 1959 in Newry. He preceded her in death June 26, 1982.

Betty is survived by several cousins. She was the last of her family, having been preceded in death by her four siblings: John W. Imler, Elsie A. Imler, Carrie V. Imler, and David William Imler.

She retired on March 31, 1985 from Warnaco, where she worked as a machine operator. She was a member of Newry Lutheran Church. Betty enjoyed crocheting and crafting.

Friends will be received from 10-11am on Wed., Jan. 20, 2021 followed by a funeral service at 11am, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Pastor Richard Henry will officiate. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery.
