Betty Rose Plowman, age 94, of Cresson, formerly of Duncansville, died early Thursday morning, July 23, 2020. She was born December 17, 1925 in Cresson, a daughter of the late Alice Jane (Trexler) and Jesse A. Wright, Sr.
Surviving are two children: Alice Vargo of Newport News, Virginia and Norbert Biter, Jr. of Cresson; 5 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jesse Wright, Jr.
She was preceded in death by a husband, Earl Mobley; a daughter, Geraldine Bradley; two grandsons: Michael Bradley, Sr. and Fred, Jr.; two infant granddaughters; three great-grandchildren: Tyler and Michael Bradley, Jr. and Patrick McDaniels; two sisters: Charlotte Biter and Thelma Biter; and three half-siblings: Madge Noel, Annabelle Murtiff and Harold Wright.
Betty was a graduate of Cresson Joint High School. She owned and operated Mainline Truck Stop in Duncansville for 28 years. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville.
Betty enjoyed going hunting and fishing, camping, and shooting guns.
All services held privately by the family. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
