Boyd S Fickes

Boyd S. Fickes, age 66, of Smithmill, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.. He was born January 15, 1953 in Altoona, a son of the late Charles F. and Peggy D. (Bowers) Fickes. He married Tonya K. Shaw on October 21, 2000.

Survived by his loving wife Tonya; a daughter Shanna Robson; a son Alex Fickes; a grandson Ethan; a granddaughter Chloe; and three brothers and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Fickes.

Boyd was a graduate of Altoona High School. He was a veteran, serving in the Army Reserves. He was currently working for Allison Crane and Rigging in Texas as a crane operator.

There will be no public viewing. All services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Burial will take place at Canoe Creek Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
