Brian K. Price, age 54, of Newry, passed away Saturday evening, March 13, 2021, at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends, following his 2 year battle with cancer. He was born September 15, 1966 in Altoona, a son of Lois M. (Wilt) Otto and the late John W. Price III. He married Janee R. Brown on May 9, 2009 at Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Janee; his mother, Lois Otto of Duncansville; a daughter, Tiffany Price (Michael Santillo) of Florida; a son, Zak Price (Jackie D’Albero) of Connecticut; a step-daughter, Megan Croll (Collin) of Newry; a step-son, Jaden Mauk (Tyler Dodson) of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren: Gunner Smith, Junne Croll, and Jaxon and Brian Price; a brother, John W. Price IV (Stephanie) of Duncansville; a sister, Yvonne Haire (Kenneth) of Florida; and a special relative, Doug D’Antonio of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Terry Otto; a nephew, J.W.; and a great-niece, Bailey.
Brian was a 1984 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a truck driver and had driven for Matheson Tri-Gas, Renaissance Trucking, and Grannas Brothers. He was a member of Duncansville VFW and attended Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg.
Brian enjoyed woodworking and building projects, playing pool, darts, and corn-hole, and hanging out in his ‘shed’ with family and friends. He adored and loved his children and grandchildren. He was the best “Poppy” to his grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1218 4th Ave., Duncansville. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 18 at Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg, officiated by Pastor David L. Bowman. Friends will also be received for one hour prior to services. Committal service and interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
