Carol Jean (Marlett) Weaver, age 69, of Altoona, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born January 14, 1957 in Altoona, daughter of Betty (Hetrick) Boslet and the late James L. Marlett. She married Alan D. Weaver.
Surviving is her husband, Alan of Altoona; her mother, Betty of Altoona; four daughters: Jessica Clapper (Stephen Port, Sr.) of Altoona, Letitia Clapper (J.R.) of Fallentimber, Laura Miller of Altoona, and Julia Boore (Chuck) of Altoona; five granddaughters: Claudia, Taylor, Harley, Riley, and Camryn; five grandsons: Dawson, Aerien, Russell, Ryan, and Dean; a brother, Jeffrey L Marlett, Sr. (Carol) of Altoona; and a sister, Andrea Boslet of Palm Harbor, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell V. Miller, and her step-father, Irvin Boslet.
Carol was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and Penn State University, Altoona.
She was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, Altoona, where she was on the church council and helped with the community dinners the Episcopal Church held at St. James Lutheran Church. She was an occasional educational speaker at drug and alcohol meetings.
Carol’s past work was at Cove Forge, Williamsburg.
She enjoyed dancing with the Ruth Barnes and Pauline (Baker) Rogers School of Dance, drawing, painting and doing crafts. She also played the piano and enjoyed spending time with her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, 1407 8th Ave., Altoona, on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 2pm, officiated by Pastor Ralph W. Hamer III.
