Clarence J. “Jerry” Hazlett, Jr., age 77, Duncansville, died Sunday, June 16, 2019, at UPMC Altoona. He was born August 24, 1941 in Maryville, TN, a son of the late Clarence J., Sr., and Leona (Gaston) Hazlett. He married Barbara J. Henry in Winchester, VA.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; a son Craig Hazlett (Kathy) of Altoona; a step-son Larry Daugherty (Barbe) of Hollidaysburg; two grandchildren: Zachary Hazlett (Alicia) and Carlie Hazlett (fiancé Luke Matthews); a step-grandson Kyle Daugherty; two great-grandsons: Zachary Hazlett, Jr. and Konnor Matthews; a brother Jim Hazlett of Clearfield; and a sister Kathy Gephart of Alum Bank.
Jerry was a 1959 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a US Navy veteran and also served in the National Guard. He was an electrician with IBEW #5 for 45 years.
He was an active member of Allegheny Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. #50. He was a loving husband and father.
Friends will be received on Tues., June 18, 2019 from 7-9pm and on Wed., June 19 from 10am until the 11am funeral service, officiated by Pastor Doug Pilot, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1218 4th Ave., Duncansville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Allegheny Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. (651 Sugar Run Rd., Altoona, PA 16601) and/or the American Heart Association (5455 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214).
