Clarence Richard "Bud" Royer, age 86, of Altoona, died Monday evening, May 13, 2024 at UPMC Altoona. He was born July 21, 1937 in Altoona, the son of the late William and Irene M. (McLaughlin) Royer. He married Connie J. Geesey on April 28, 1977 in Altoona. She preceded him in death on October 14, 1998.
Surviving are children: Steven Royer (Tiffany), Richard Burket, Christine Laich, and Tina Burket all of Altoona area, and Richard Royer, William Royer, Lorraine, Debbie, and Rhonda; and numerous grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Faye Glass and Joyce Ann Conrad.
Bud was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the railroad, where he was a track welder.
He had received his Master of Commisioner Science Degree Certificate and was a past Unit Commisioner for Boy Scouts of America.
Clarence was a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed collecting coins and loved his dogs, especially "Beans".
