Cleora J (Davis) Winegardner

Cleora J. "Orie" Winegardner, age 94, formerly of Duncansville, died Thursday, July 10, 2025 at The Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born March 21, 1931 in Brooks Mills, a daughter of the late Harry and Alverta (Oaks) Davis.

Surviving are six children: Joe P. Winegardner III of Duncansville, Patti George of Annandale, VA, Beth Winegardner of Duncansville, Joni Smith (Matt) of Gordonsville, VA, and John Winegardner (Gracie) and Stephen Winegardner (Greta) of Salem, VA; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Potter of Duncansville.

She was preceded in death by five sisters: Almeda Diehl, Evelyn Treese, Ruth Turner, Peggy Trexler, Janet Holmes; five brothers: Jack, Bob, Curt, Vernon, and Ken Davis; two grandsons; and a son-in-law, Dick George.

Cleora was a 1950 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She worked at the Altoona Hospital in dietary, retiring in 1995.

She attended Foot of Ten Bible Church. Cleora enjoyed watching hummingbirds and finches from her porch.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 10 until the 11am Celebration of Life at Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church, Duncansville. Pastor David Huston will officiate.
