Cloyd E. ‘Mac’ McMasters,age 71, of Altoona, died Friday, August 15, 2025 at home. He was born October 23, 1953 in Roaring Spring, son of the late Beverly (McMasters) and James Settle. He married Rose I. (Saltsgiver) Boston-McMasters on Jan. 31, 1998.
Surviving is his wife of 27 years; two children, Melody and Mark; two granddaughters, Alexis and Aubrie; a great-grandson, River; 4 step-sons: Bob, Jeff, Rick, and Jim; a step-daughter, Linda; siblings: Patty, Donna, Florence, Debbie, Sara, Tom, and Jim; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his fur-babies, Bear and Murray.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth.
Mac was a 1973 graduate of Altoona Vo-Tech. He retired in 2003 from Norfolk-Southern.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Friends will be received on Tues., Aug. 19, 2025 from 3 until the 7 pm funeral service, officiated by Pastor Brad Runkle, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville.
