Damian Michael Staniszewski

Damian Michael Staniszewski, a.k.a. "Meathead", age 19, of Portage and Duncansville, was tragically taken from us in March of 2017. After many months of unanswered questions, wondering and waiting, mourning, time and time again, we are finally able to bring Damian home. Damian is the son of Sean W. Staniszewski and step-mother Tina, and mother Mandi Zella. He was born in Altoona on May 7, 1997. He was raised by his father and step-mother, alongside with his grandparents, Stephen and Virginia. Not a day went by that Damian wasn't caring for his grandparents and calling them throughout the day.

Survived by his parents; a half-brother Zachary; a step-brother Darrian; a step-sister Adrienne; a niece Elizabeth; a grandmother Virginia; a great-grandmother Betty; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved cousin, Sierra, and his precious grandfather, Stephen, within the past year. May they find comfort in each others arms.

Damian attended St. Patrick's School, Newry, and Portage School districts. He worked at Blue Knob Ski Resort and loved the adventure of his job. He loved the outdoors, snowboarding, 4-wheeling, dirt bike riding, and especially fishing, hunting and spending time with his late grandfather, Stephen. Damian was loved by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial for Damian on Sat., Mar. 10, 2018 from 11am until 2pm, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 4th Ave., Duncansville. His family would love for anyone who would like to share their memories of Damian to do so, or even read from scripture or a poem, and feel free to share a photo too. The wake will be private.
