Daniel Piper

G. Daniel Piper, age 82, of Puzzletown, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. He was born July 17, 1941 in Johnstown, son of the late Sharon D. and Geraldine Mae (Delozier) Piper. He married Dixie J. Imler on Nov. 13, 1963 in Winchester, VA.

Surviving are his wife; two children: Sherie J. Piper (Kevin Diehl) and Dan Piper (Diana); and three grandchildren: Nichole Piper (Tyler Kessler), Danyelle Donaldson (Case), and Piper Diehl.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Durwood and Foster Piper and a sister, Doris Langham.

Dan was a 1961 graduate of Hollidayburg High School. He retired as a truck driver from Wal-Mart.

He enjoyed his antique cars and was a member of Fort Bedford Auto Club. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Friends will be received on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10 until the 11am funeral service at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Linda Sollenberger will officiate. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
