Darlene I (Rutledge) Hite

Darlene I. Hite, age 83, of Newry, died Monday morning, August 4, 2025 at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehab, Altoona. She was born December 20, 1941 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Elwood G. Rutledge and Dorothy A. (Buchanan) Mulhollen.

Surviving is a son, Scott J. Hite of Duncansville; a granddaughter, Randi Jo Hite of San Francisco, California; and a grandson, Jacob S. Hite of Duncansville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon E. Hite, Jr. in 2014, and all six of her siblings: Sonny, A. Richard, Donald, and Elwood Rutledge Jr., Kaye Mowery, and Gail Diane Lake.

At Darlene’s request, all services will be private.

Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Altoona.
