Dean G Rose

Rev. Dean G. Rose, age 78, of Altoona, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. He was born May 6, 1947 in Hartford, Connecticut, son of the late George S. and Elinor Louise (Buckland) Rose. He married Barbara J. (Horvath) Von Noaker on May 29, 2001 in Altoona. She preceded him in death on December 27, 2020.

He is survived by a daughter, Angel Weyandt; two grandchildren: Jade and Rivington; and many great friends and neighbors.

Mr. Rose was a 1965 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a US Army veteran serving from March 16, 1966 until March 15, 1972. He earned rank of Sergeant. He retired as a Lineman.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public services. Burial will be private.
