Dolores Gean (Campbell) Gibboney

D. Gean Gibboney, age 88, a resident of Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg, formerly of Duncansville, died Friday evening, November 13, 2020. She was born January 15, 1932 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Ralph and Edith (Hambley) Campbell. She married W. Scott Gibboney, Sr. on Jan. 29, 1951 in Cumberland, MD. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1992.

Survived by a son, W. Scott Gibboney, Jr. of Duncansville; a sister, Janet Talbot in Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marian Thomas, and two brothers: Robert Campbell, Sr. and Ralph Campbell.

Gean was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School. She worked as a cafeteria manager at Allegheny #1 School for 35 years. She worked at Antique Depot for 9 years.

She previously attended Foot of Ten Independent Bible Church. Gean was a former member of the Holliday Rovers and the Chimrock Squares. She enjoyed swimming, camping, square dancing, and working in the yard.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public services.

Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery.
