Donald W Fowkes Jr

Donald W. Fowkes, Jr., age 81, of Duncansville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring. He was born January 4, 1944 in Altoona, son of the late Donald W. Sr. and Evelyn J. (Nicewonger) Fowkes. He married Nancy R. Miller on Aug. 6, 1979 in Winchester, VA.

Surviving is his wife, Nancy; two daughters: Tracy Lascoli (Mike) and Tonya Fowkes-Lockard; and two grandchildren: McKenzie and Jordan Lascoli. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Gryffin.

Upon graduation from Hollidaysburg High School, he worked for the Meadow’s. He joined the Allegheny Township Police Department in 1968, where he became Chief of Police and retired in 2000 after 32 years of service. He then was elected in 2003 as Allegheny Township Supervisor, serving for 18 years, giving 50 years combined service to Allegheny Township.

Don was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Jaffa Shrine.

He was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping and traveling, and riding motorcycles and his ATV.

At Don’s request, all services will be private. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
