Dorothy E (Stewart) Green

Dorothy E. Green, age 90, a resident at Amber Terrace, Altoona, died Saturday morning, March 21, 2020, at the home, following a brief illness. She was born September 28, 1929 in Altoona, daughter of the late Richard E. and Mary E. (Rife) Stewart. She married Charles W. Green. He preceded her in death in 1983.

She is survived by several close friends in the Altoona and Hollidaysburg area.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Glenna M. Green-Thompson, in 2019; and a sister, Anna Marie Stewart.

She worked for many years at Wal-Mart as a cashier.

Many thanks go out to the staff and nurses at Amber Terrace, Altoona, for their compassionate care of Dorothy over the years.

There will be no viewing or service. Private interment alongside her husband will take place at Memphis National Cemetery, Memphis, TN.
