Dorothy Mae Martin, age 93, Ashville, died early Tuesday morning, March 2, 2021, at UPMC Altoona. She was born November 14, 1927 in Ortega, Florida, a daughter of the late Connie Everett and Angie Mae (Swift) Davis. She married Charles Martin, who preceded her in death in 1993 in Florida.
Surviving are three children: Jerry Martin of St. Johns, FL, Michael Martin of St. Johns, FL, and Linda Delfosse of Ashville; three grandchildren: Lara Martin, Connie Delfosse and Brandon Martin; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Martin; three sisters: Adaleen, Charlotte, and Beatrice; and a son-in-law, John Delfosse.
Dorothy was a graduate of Landon Jr Sr High School in Jacksonville, FL. Along with her husband, Charles, they owned and operated Martin's Radiator Works in Jacksonville, FL, for over 30 years.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the library. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching game shows on TV.
There will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held in Florida at a later date at the convenience of her family.
