Elizabeth Ann DeStefano

Elizabeth Ann ‘Liz’ DeStefano, age 72, a resident of Cedarwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Tyrone, formerly of Altoona, stepped into the presence of Jesus, peacefully, surrounded by those who loved her, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at UPMC Altoona. She was born October 16, 1953 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Louis M. and Blanche E. (D’Elia) DeStefano.

Survived by her daughter, Angelina E. ‘Angel’ DeStefano-Mast (Don) of Altoona; a grandson, Elliot Mast (Rebecca) of Atlantic Beach, FL; four siblings: Daniel L. DeStefano (Susan) of Boston, Mary ‘Cookie’ DeStefano of Altoona, David L. DeStefano (Bernice) of Lewisburg, and Norma Sanders and Robert M. DeStefano, both of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Liz was a graduate of Altoona High School and studied Psychology at Penn State.

She was a member of Altoona First Southern Baptist Church.

Liz was an avid reader and enjoyed books, art, old movies, and had a fantastic sense of humor. She was a very good grandmother to her grandson, Elliot.

Friends will be received from 2 until the 4pm funeral service on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Pastor Don Mast will officiate. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.

Liz had a love for animals. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
