Elizabeth "Tootie" (Steele) Hufford

Elizabeth Ann "Tootie" Hufford, age 95, of Duncansville, died Friday, April 5, 2024 at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg. She was born December 8, 1928 in Altoona, daughter of the late Jessie F. and Alma Elizabeth (McMullin) Steele. She married James A. Hufford on November 8, 1947 in Altoona. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1992.

Surviving is a daughter, Bonnie O’Brian (Steve) of Duncansville; a granddaughter, Megan O’Brian-Nicka (Josh); a great-granddaughter, Madisen; a niece, Betsy Adelsberger; and a nephew, Rick Larkins.

As the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death all five of her siblings: George F. Steele, Dorothy V. Steele, William C. Steele, Helen M. Steele, and Margaret F. Larkins.

Tootie formerly worked at Sylvania and then retired from SKF, Altoona. 

A committal service, officiated by Pastor Stewart McClelland, will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in the chapel at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona
