Emma Jean Kuhn, age 87, a resident of Cedarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Tyrone, formerly a long time resident of Country Manor, Duncansville, died Monday, June 15, 2026 at the home. She was born April 21, 1939 in Altoona, daughter of the late Samuel Joseph Tampt Jr. and Helen Berdella (Walters) Tampt. She married Vay Melrose Kuhn on November 9, 1979. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2000.
Surviving is a step-son, Ronald V. Kuhn (Suzanne); two grandchildren: Patrick Kuhn (Jenna) and Brittney Corl (Dan); two great-grandchildren: Grayson and Barrett; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters: Mary Ellen Dean, Audrey Marie Ajay, and Doris Ann Notaro.
Emma previously worked at Brownies Potato Chip Company and Uncle Joe's Woodshed.
She enjoyed reading romance novels, watching Hallmark movies, and dining out with friends from Country Manor.
There will be no public services. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Cemetery, Altoona.
