Ethel M (Yeckley) Diehl

Ethel M. Diehl, age 86, of Puzzletown, died Friday morning, November 13, 2020 at Altoona Center for Nursing Care, Altoona, following a brief illness. She was born June 2, 1934 in Dry Run, a daughter of the late Edwin J. and Emma M. (Baughman) Yeckley. She married Sylvester J. “Wess” Diehl, Sr. on Aug. 9, 1956 at St. Patrick Church, Newry. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2010.

Survived by a son, Bryan A. Diehl (Julie) of Puzzletown; four grandchildren: Bryant, Corina, Michelle and Dave; three sisters: Caroline Reilly, Shirley Swires and Ruby Hicks; and five brothers: Paul, Dale, John, David and William Yeckley.

She was preceded in death by a son, Sylvester J. "Wess", Jr.; a brother, Charles; an infant brother, Donald; a sister, Rita Yeckley; and a grandson, Wessy.

Ethel was a lifetime member of the Grange. She enjoyed camping, cooking, and crocheting. 

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or services.

Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery.
