Gloria D. “Dee” Houck, age 58, a resident of Evergreen Manor, Altoona, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, December 9, 2023. She was born May 9, 1965 in Altoona.
Surviving are her mother, Gloria D. (Wilson) Richards; a step-daughter, Mandy Huff; two sons: Dale “DJ” Houck and Tyler Houck; two grandchildren: Zai and Alex; two siblings: Jim Richards and Dawn Squires; three nieces: Kourtney Lopez, Olivia Crum, and Abbey Richards; a nephew, Brandon Squires; and her beloved dog, Toto.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Eugene Richards, in 2017.
Dee graduated from Merkel High School in Texas. She worked at Co”BRH”s, Altoona, for many years.
She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She enjoyed fishing with her father and Uncle Larry Wilson, playing BINGO with her Aunt Patty Rentz, and helping those in need, especially her community at Evergreen Manor.
Friends will be received from 3-6pm on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville, where a ‘Christmas Eve’ inspired funeral service will be held at 4:30pm, officiated by Rev. Rich Morris.
