James L. Dick, age 79, of Duncansville, passed away Thursday morning, May 2, 2019, at home. He was born Jan. 17, 1940 in Ore Hill, a son of the late Charles T. and Laura (Black) Dick. He married Fern L. Rightenour on May 1, 1961.
Survived by his wife, Fern; three sons: James Allen Dick, Thomas Gene Dick and Gregory Elvin Dick; a great-grandson Kylar Paul Skala; a brother Kenneth Dick and a sister Judy Bruno.
He was preceded in death by 9 brothers: Theodore, Thomas, Ralph, Chauncey, William, Lawrence, Richard, Andrew and Edward Dick, three sisters: Elizabeth Baker, June Dick and Janet Brown, and a granddaughter Felicia Nicole Skala.
Jim was a US Navy veteran. He worked as a welder for Eric Magnetics when he lived in the Erie area for a number of years.
He enjoyed bowling, playing horse-shoes and Bingo, and spending time with his family and friends.
Friends will be received on Tues., May 7, 2019 from 5 - 7pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1218 4th Ave., Duncansville, where a Memorial Service will immediately follow at 7pm, officiated by Rev. Rich Morris.
