James W Moore

James W. Moore, age 78, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Odenton, Maryland, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at home. He was born March 26, 1945 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Pete and Ann (Kingera) Gelles. He married Dorothy L. Pevahouse on Nov. 2, 1999 at Windber Church of the Brethren. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2010.

Surviving are three children: Michelle Smith (Ken), Jason Moore Arlene), and Christina Heath (Blaine); five grandchildren: Kenneth II, Justin, Anna Marie, Christopher, and Matthew; and three great-grandchildren: Kennth III, Juliette, and Scout (on the way). He is also survived by his cats, Precious and Little Mitt.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Gelles.

James retired from Atlas Container Corp., Maryland. He enjoyed bowling, fishing with his grandsons, watching Westerns on TV, trivia, and history.

There will be no public services. Interment will take place at Berkey Cemetery, Windber.
