Jeffrey A Yon

Jeffrey A. Yon, age 66, of Altoona, died Tuesday evening, January 16, 2024 at Maybrook Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center following an illness. He was born October 19, 1957 in Altoona, he was the son of Caroline Jule (Yon) Shomo.

Survived by his mother; a daughter, Krystal Yon of N. Carolina; four siblings: Robin McClain of Altoona, and Deb Yon, Jack Yon, and Don Yon, all of Bedford; and his former spouse, Sharon Yon.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jacqueline Ramsey.

Jeff was a carpenter for Local #950. He was a member of the Swiss Club in Altoona. He enjoyed fishing, gambling and shooting pool, and watching Western movies, especially John Wayne.

Friends will be received from 2 to the 4pm Memorial Service on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Pastor Hud Crossman and Deacon Wendell Myers Sr. will officiate. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
