Joanne R (Bowmaster) Lupold

Joanne R. Lupold, age 85, formerly of Hollidaysburg, died on Christmas morning, December 25, 2022 at Guardian Healthcare Hillview, Altoona. She was born September 9, 1937 in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Ralph A. and Susan A. (Helsel) Bowmaster.

She is survived by three children: Steven Rhine, Allen Rhine, and Wanda Locher, all of Hollidaysburg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister Helen Mock of St. George, Utah.

She was preceded in death by two husbands: Benjamin P. Rhine and Harvey E. Lupold; a brother James Bowmaster; and a sister Shirley Benner.

She was a past member of the Allegheny Club, Duncansville VFW, and the Hollidaysburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, and dancing. She previously attended Berean Baptist Church, Duncansville.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 1 until the 3pm memorial service at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Rev. Rich Morris will officiate services. Interment services will take place at a later date at Oremenia Cemetery, Williamsburg.
