John C Port

John C. Port, age 58, of Altoona, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, September 5, 2017 at home. Born August 11, 1959 in Altoona, a son of the late Charles W. and Rosie M. (Yon) Port.

Survived by 6 siblings: Grace Miller, Pearl Port, Frank Port, David Port, Ben Port and Richard Port, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 4 sisters: Connie Zimmerman, Donna Pospisil, Anna Shaw and Bonnie; and 2 brothers: Robert and William Port.

John attended Altoona High School. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and small engines.

There will be no public viewing.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thurs., Sept. 14, 2017 at New Creation in Christ Ministry Church, 1620 16th St., Altoona, officiated by Rev. Gary E. Jones.
