Joseph M Galioto

Joseph M. Galioto, Sr., age 73, of Gallitzin, died Tuesday morning, August 27, 2024, at his home. He was born February 10, 1951 in Johnstown, the son of the late Nicholas and Edith M. (Albertelli) Galioto. He married the former Margaret M. Reed on October 20, 1973 at St. Patrick Church, Gallitzin.

Surviving is his wife, Margaret; three sons: Joseph Galioto Jr., Jonathan Galioto, and Justin (Lisa) Galioto; a grandson, Caiden Galioto; a sister, Donna Dabbs; a nephew, Billy Dabbs; and his beloved dog, Benito.

Joe was a 1969 graduate of Forest Hills High School. He was a US Navy veteran and served in the Army National Guard for 24 years. He retired from F.L. Smithe Machine Co. after working for over 20 years.

He enjoyed fishing, especially with his grandson, and going to Caiden’s soccer games.

All services will be private. Interment, with Military Honors, will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
