Judy A. Miller, age 78, of Carson Valley, Duncansville, died early Monday morning, March 4, 2019, at UPMC Altoona. She was born June 8, 1940 in Cross Keys, a daughter of the late Raymond H. Smith, Sr. and Carrie Elizabeth (Franklin) Smith. She married Glenn O. Miller on March 14, 1959 in Duncansville. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2011.
Survived by two daughters: Debra Bickel of Altoona and Barbara Civils of Duncansville; a brother Trafford “Tap” Smith of Donnertown; two sisters: Levina “Biney” Hazenstab of Altoona and Pauline Eger of Carson Valley; 4 grandchildren: Craig, Jessica, Andy and Lauren; and 5 great-grandchildren: Kaidyn, Karli, Vian, Liam and Oliver.
She was preceded in death by 7 brothers: Vian, Harry, Raymond, Jr. “Mick”, Terry “Ears”, Clayton “Boog”, Donald “Skeets”, and Daniel “Hoon; and an infant sister, Gloria.
Judy attended Hollidaysburg High School. She had worked at Bickel’s Surplus II in Roaring Spring. She enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales, watching Jimmy Johnson racing in NASCAR, and was a fan of Pirates baseball.
Friends will be received on Thurs. March 7, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and on Fri. March 8 from 10am until the 11am funeral service, officiated by Pastor Bradley Runkle, all at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1218 4th Ave., Duncansville. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
