Judyth Webb Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Judyth Ann (Taylor) Webb, of Altoona, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at the age of 84.

She was born July 3, 1940 in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Walter R. and Kathryn M. (Felentzer) Taylor. She married Robert P. Webb on December 23, 1971 at Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin. He preceded her in death in 2011.

Surviving are two sons: Mike (Pamela) of Altoona and Robert of Gelbert, AZ; three siblings: Robert Taylor of Greensburg, Richard Taylor of Carlsbad, CA, and Constance Lee Cafaro of Pittsburgh; a step-sister, Peggy Thiry of Gloucester, Maine; four grandchildren: Brianna Knowles (Kaleb) of Altoona, Johnna Gingrich (Clay) of Hollidaysburg, Brendan Webb (Rachel) of Altoona, and Lauren Webb of Honolulu, Hawaii; and two great-grandchildren: Claire Gingrich of Hollidaysburg and Levi Webb of Altoona.

She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Webb, in 1982.

Judy was a Air Force Reserve veteran, where she earned rank of Captain and served as a flight nurse. She was a 1961 graduate of Maryview Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her Bachelor Degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked at the veteran’s hospital and retired from the PA state veterans home.

She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, the Heidelberg Country Club, and the YMCA, where she was active in aqua aerobics. She was previously involved in the Girl Scouts and was a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts.

Judy lived a life filled with love, kindness, service to others, and an unwavering dedication to her family.

As a mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, “Nena” was a constant source of strength and support, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her warmth and generosity of spirit created a home full of love, warmth, and food celebrating our wins while there to lift us up for our lows, never missing a chance to make us all feel special for every birthday, holiday, or just because. Nena adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment and milestone with the knowledge that her love was endless and unshakable. Our mom and grandmother always put us first. She nurtured and shared and gave her life to all her children, along with wisdom and endless patience, shaping us into the people we are today.

She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending time with family and friends, travel adventures that took her around the world, gardening (famous for her tomatoes), and taking photos of every moment. Another great love for Judy included all of the animals, including her childhood Collie, Duchess; her morse, Mia; our German Shepherd, Smokey; her tabby cat, Cheyenne; and her black and white cat, Oreo.

At Judy’s request, all services will be private. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
