Kayla A. Rogers, age 29, of Altoona, died Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, following an extended illness. She was born November 9, 1990 at Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND, a daughter of Annette (Midder) Rogers and the late Kelvin E. Rogers.
Survived by her mother, Annette Rogers, of Altoona; her fiance, Marlon Mills; three brothers: Kelvin Rogers II and Kyle Rogers of Altoona and Kory Rogers of Harrisburg; a sister, Kristina Rogers of Altoona; 4 nieces and 3 nephews; her paternal grandmother, Esther Binion of Cleveland, Ohio; 4 uncles: Ashley, Robert and Kevin Midder and Derrick Rogers; and an aunt, Yvette Johnson.
Kayla was a 2009 graduate of Altoona High School. She attended Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, NY. She previously worked for Rite Aid and Delta Sonic Car Wash in Buffalo, NY and then at Rutter’s, and at the family business: Rogers Preservations in Altoona. She enjoyed music, cooking, and especially spending time with her nieces and nephews.
There will be no public viewing. Services, officiated by Pastor Robin Ross, will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
