Kenneth Plisinski Obituary

Kenneth P. Plisinski, age 54, of Altoona, died Friday, May 3, 2024, following an extended illness. He was born Novembe 6, 1969 in Altoona.  He married Marianne Drzal on Aug. 14, 2019.

Surviving is his wife, Marianne; his father, George E. Plisinski (Joy) of Greenfield, IN; his mother, Ann (Helsel) Hamp (fiancé Terry Larson) of Hollidaysburg; three children: Jessica Plisinski (fiancé Andrew) of Oklahoma, Justin Plisinski of Oklahoma, and Jordan Swauger (fiancé Kelsey) of Altoona; three grandchildren: Conner Plisinski, and Grayson and Skyla Swauger; his beloved brother, Joe Plisinski (Julie) of California, and brother George Plisinski Jr. (Joyce) of IN; a niece Ashlyn; three nephews: Austin, Trey, and Alek; a brother-in-law, Walt Drzal; and numerous close cousins, uncles and aunts, including Aunt Joyce Weimer.

Ken was a 1988 graduate of Altoona High School and a 2004 graduate of Penn State Altoona. He was a US Army veteran. He had an illustrious career in sports working in the Clubhouse for Altoona Curve, Jacksonville Suns, and Phoenix Suns and worked with the Arizona Cardinals. Recently he was an assistant manager of Wal-Mart in Elyria, OH. He was a supervisor for Penn State Security for many years.

Ken was outgoing and had a heart of gold. He loved being around people and was a sports enthusiast. He was a PIAA referee for years and was just voted as President of Penn State Alumni. He received many awards from Penn State for his dedication and volunteering.

Friends will be received from 6 until the 8pm funeral service on Tues., May 7, 2024 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville.
