Lane E Hale

Lane E. Hale, age 77, of Altoona, died Monday morning, February 11, 2019, at his residence. He was born April 22, 1941 in Harrisburg, a son of the late Hershel C. and Madeline J. (Murphy) Hale.

Survived by his great friends: Camille Wing, Mary Eckert and Iva Evans.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Lane was a 1960 graduate of Tyrone High School. He was a US Army veteran, serving from September 25, 1963 until September 23, 1966, then reenlisted to serve from August 2, 1977 until August 1, 1983. He worked as a custodian at the Salvation Army for many years. He was a very generous person and was always helping others.

At Lane’s request, there will be no public viewing or services.
