Larry E. Hammaker, age 55, of Duncansville, died Sunday evening, July 18, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, following an extended illness. He was born September 27, 1965 in Altoona, a son of the late Edward H. and Shirley M. (Cox) Hammaker. He married Theresa A. "Terri" Beam on Oct. 17, 1992 in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife, Terri; three siblings: Vicki Steinbugl (Dennis) of Duncansville, Charles Hammaker (Donna) of Huntgindon, and Paula Jean "PJ" Caputo (Paul) of Hollidaysburg; 8 nieces, including a special niece, Michele; 4 nephews; 2 great-nieces; 3 great-nephews; 1 great-great-niece; 2 great-great-nephews; ; 4 brother-in-laws; 4 sister-in-laws; and his mother-in-law, Donna Beam of Duncansville.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Beam.
Larry was a 1983 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was a driver for Health-Ride for several years. He previously worked with his father at their family's fencing business.
He was a collector of wolf items and liked tinkering with small engines. He previously enjoyed bowling.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held starting at 1pm on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Hollidaysburg American Legion Memorial Park, at Pavilion #2.
