Lena Cashman Obituary

Lena R. (Hartzler) Cashman, age 96, formerly of Hollidaysburg, entered into the arms of Jesus, Tuesday afternoon, March 23, 2021, at the home of her daughter, in Duncansville. She was born March 31, 1924 in Allensville, the middle daughter of the late Jesse and Sadie (Cutman) Hartzler.

Surviving are: three children: Linda (Rick) Reigh of Duncansville, Richard (Susan) Cashman of Saltillo, and Ruth (Jim) Metzler of McVeytown; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was the last of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her two sisters: Elizabeth Yoder and Naomi Hartzler.

Lena was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Canon Station Mennonite Church. She had a serving heart and enjoyed talking to her family and friends on the phone. Lena was faithful in reading her Bible everyday and praying for everyone.

There will be no viewing. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery.
