Louis F. Kelly, age 84, of Duncansville, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, April 7, 2025, unexpectedly. He was born October 27, 1940 in Newry, a son of the late Pius Edgar and Ethel Veronica (Costlow) Kelly. He married Gloria J. Hoffer on December 30, 1961 at St. Patrick’s Church, Newry.
Surviving is his wife, Gloria; two sons: Allan Kelly (Brenda) and Robert Kelly (Penny); 5 grandchildren: Josh, Brittney, Amanda, Zach, and Emily; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings: Rick Kelly, Sister Jane Kelly, R.S.M., Constance Dolinski, Mary Hetrick, Eileen Hileman, and Rebecca Elias; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 8 siblings: Charlene M. Kelly, Gladys Glunt, Dolores Simpson, Sister Charlene Kelly, R.S.M., Patrick Kelly, Michael Kelly, John Kelly, and Gerald Kelly.
Lou was a 1959 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He retired from SKF in 2003 after 42 years of service.
He was a faithful member of St. Patrick Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Lou enjoyed stock car racing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 5-8pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 11 at 10am at St. Patrick’s Church, Newry, with Father Allen P. Zeth as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery.
