Margaret O (Piper) Campbell

Margaret O. ‘Peggy’ Campbell, age 82, of Hollidaysburg, died Sunday evening, November 17, 2024 at home. She was born December 6, 1941 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Dorothy (Smith) Piper. She married Ralph G. Campbell in 1973. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2019.

Surviving are four children: Cristy Baker (Scott) of Williamsburg, Robin Speer (Robert) of Texas, Jill Claar (Gary, Jr.) of Puzzletown, and Shawn Dodson (Angie) of Blue Knob; a step-daughter, Sheri Hoover (Dave) of Chest Springs; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Joni Stell of Duncansville, Vicki Burk of Duncansville, Polly Weyant of Arizona, and Lori Brumbaugh of Martinsburg.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara McMaster and Patty Leidy.

Peggy was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a member of Hollidaysburg First United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for over 40 years.

Friends will be received on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 10am until the noon funeral service, officiated by Chaplain Tim Guyer, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
