Marjorie Marie Brogdon, age 98, of Hesston, formerly of Erie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June, 9, 2024 with her daughter by her side. She was born in Erie on May 30, 1926, the second child of the late Arthur Charles and Violet Lillian (Brozell) Haibach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by George A. Brogdon, her husband of 50 years; her sister, Virginia Bernard; and five brothers: Arthur Jr., Robert, Norman, Donald, and Albert Haibach.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Linda (Brogdon-Klemm) Regan, grandchildren: Marjorie Koehlert, Gary Klemm, Sean Regan, and Kayla Regan; and great-grandchildren: Madison, Hannah, and Seth Regan. She also had many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was a 1945 graduate of Rice Avenue Union High School, then worked at Marx Toys and, for many years, The Embers steak house.
She lived in Erie and, seasonally, in Tryon, North Carolina until 2002 when she joined her daughter in Hesston.
Marge loved her family and the many dogs that filled her life. She enjoyed taking long rides in the country, visiting family and friends, playing cards, picking blackberries, and baking pies. She was generous with family and in support of the March of Dimes, the American Heart Association, and numerous pet rescue organizations.
Memorial gifts can be made to The ANNA Shelter (1555 E. 10th St., Erie, PA 16511).
There will be no public services.
