Mark E. Burger, age 56, of Duncansville, died Tuesday afternoon, September 12, 2023, at UPMC Altoona following an extended illness. He was born October 17, 1966 in Elizabeth, NJ, son of Joseph Burger and the late Marlene M. (Stulle) Curry.
He is survived by the other half of the dynamic duo, his loving fiancé, Jenn Wojcik; his father, Joe Burger (Shelley); five siblings: Monica Ries, Julia Duke, George Waltsak, Paul Curry, and Tina Varhaugvik; several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Ajax.
He was preceded in death by his mother Marlene Curry; his Oma, Stella Stulle, and his Opa, George Stulle. Mark is also meeting his fur babies at the rainbow bridge: Eli, Thor, Alpha, Bonzey, and Domino.
Mark was a graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, DC. He was previously employed as a bus and limo driver in the DC area.
He enjoyed hunting, 80’s music, swimming, and shooting darts. Mark had a vibrant sense of humor.
Mark was a dual transplant recipient, and his family would like to thank all his medical providers that cared for him over the years.
Friends will be received on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 1:30 until the 3pm Celebration of Life service, followed by a reception from 3:30-5pm, all at Juniata United Methodist Chruch, 808 N. 4th St., Altoona, PA 16601.
Private interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, NJ, with his grandparents.
