Mary W (Burk) Bowser

Mary W. Bowser, age 85, a resident of the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Duncansville, went home to keep her appointment with her Saviour on Monday, February 16, 2026. She was born December 24, 1940 in Duncansville, daughter of the late David Burk and Theresa (Rhodes) Wilt. She married Robert A. Bowser on May 2, 1964.

Surviving is her husband, Robert, of Hollidaysburg; three children: Dennis R. Bowser (Kate) of Duncansville, Denise E. Shope (Kevin) of Denver, PA, and Chris A. Bowser of Duncansville; four grandchildren: Nicholas and Noah Bowser, and Jessica and Eric Shope; two great-granddaughters; a sister-in-law, Vicki Burk of Duncansville; and best friend, Joyce Kerns.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Burk.

Mary was a 1958 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and was a graduate of Medical Secretarial School. She retired from Warnaco.

She attended Puzzletown Road Bible Church.

At Mary’s request, there will be no viewing. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Puzzletown Road Bible Church with Pastor Jon Gross officiating. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Cemetery.
