Mary J (Boob) Espenlaub

Mary J. Espenlaub, age 61, of Altoona, died Friday morning, October 21, 2022. She was born April 30, 1961 in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Mick and Iva (Lehman) Boob.

Surviving is three children: Richard Thompson (Becky) of Hollidaysburg, Crystal Neisler (Dwayne) of South Carolina, and William Thompson of Altoona; two step-sons: Stephen M. Espenlaub Jr. and Shawn Espenlaub; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and four siblings: Patricia Taylor, Alice Gray, Lewis Boob, and David Boob.

She was preceded in death by two husbands: Richard H. Thompson and Stephen M. Espenlaub Sr.; a son Michael Thompson; a daughter Mary Jane Holland; three brothers: Thomas Boob, Billy Lehman, and John; and a sister Joanne Lehman.

Mary had worked at Bingo Palace for several years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, the outdoors, and doing outdoor activities.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
