Mary Helen Mann, age 89, of Duncansville, died Saturday, November 28, 2020 at UPMC Altoona. She was born September 29, 1931 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Warren J. and Edna (Swope) Stahl. She married Thomas F. Mann, Jr. on Nov. 12, 1952 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2004.
Surviving are four children: David (Vicki) of Hollidaysburg, John (Mamie) of Altoona, Mary (Benjamin) Nelson of Duncansville, and James (Laura) of New Cumberland; grandchildren: Tiffany Ware and Holly T. Feather, raised by gram and pap, and Christopher, Todd, Lonnie and Josh; great-grandchildren: John and Dylan Ware and CJ and Kyle Lear; a brother, Louis; sisters: Winifred Smith and Linda Rudasill; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend and neighbor, Janice Lindsey.
She was preceded in death by brothers: John, Warren, and Thomas, and a sister Elizabeth.
Mary was a graduate of Altoona High School. She worked at Sylvania and later K-Mart. She was a member of St. John’s Reformed Church.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, picnics, going to community activities, listening to music, reading, coloring, and watching the Steelers.
Friends will be received from 5-7pm on Tues., Dec. 1, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville. Funeral services will be private. Interment will take place at Blair Memorial Park.
